Two of the most striking features of this production were the use of colour in the costumes and heavy , bizarre make-up to covey the macabre feel of this opera. Much effort was put into the costumes by the wardrobe team and Liz and Adam did an excellent job in devising and applying the make up on each of the cast every night.
