Hooray For Hollywood!
Concept Players return with an exciting new concert
Hello there,
We thought you might like to know that we are doing a concert in the Paget Rooms in Penarth
for one night
only on Friday 28th June.
As a theatre company, Concept are well known for performing songs from stage musicals, but for this year’s summer concert we thought it might be nice for both the company and our audience if we tried something a little different. Inspired by
a lifelong love of films, the producers have decided to present songs from the movies as this year’s theme.
The concert, entitled ‘Hooray for Hollywood’, will feature music from a wide variety of movies, ranging from older classics such as
The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, to more modern yet equally popular films like
Sister Act, Titanic and Moulin Rouge.
"We want the concert to reflect the diversity and creativity of
the film music that has been the soundtrack to countless classic onscreen moments. The songs we have chosen also have a distinct theatricality that makes them ideal for stage performance" says producer Richard Thomas.
So we hope we have whetted your appetite as it promises to be a
fabulous evening and one not to be missed. Be warned though, as
it is one night only, tickets are on a first come, first served
basis and are limited. Please do not wait until the night as
we would hate for you to miss out.
We look forward to seeing you there!
